Trying to plan out your summer vacations, but stuck with having to choose between a relaxing lake getaway or time in the saddle?

CHECK OUT ELKHORN

CORRALS TODAY!

The Elkhorn Corrals were established 1959 when ranching was the standard of the west. In the 1950s, we expanded our vision and opened Skunk Bay Resort featuring two beaches and boat docs, cabins and RV rentals, and the iconic Rooster Bar. Today, we still hold true to our original roots with a cow calf operation and are excited to expand our vision even further so you don’t have to choose between a weekend at the lake or a weekend in the saddle.

Opening in 2024, the Elkhorn Corrals offer self guided trail riding adventures, primitive camping and parking for your horse trailer, and 12x20 ft outdoor pens. Nestled in a beautiful harmony of rolling hills, the North Dakota badlands, and Lake Sakakawea, you can expect to navigate trails near the hills and valleys where Lewis & Clark traveled on during their westward expedition and witness landmarks of this history-rich land.

End the evening by kicking off your boots, slipping into some flip flops, and enjoying the lake. Top it off with a burger and a cold drink at The Rooster at Skunk Bay, approximately 2 miles east from the Elkhorn Corrals.
